Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Londonderry

La Sosta Restaurant

45A Carlisle Rd, Londonderry BT48 6JJ, UK – 028 7137 4817

Absolutely love La Sosta - authentically-cooked Italian food at its best (outside of Italy)...!! Ravioli, Canelloni, & tagliatelle all very tasty indeed. Excellent house wine (only tried white), and can't wait to return..!!

Absolutely the best Italian resturant in town, very warm and inviting staff, beautifully cooked authentic food and a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend having the Rabbit.

Browns Bonds Hill

1 Bonds Hill, Londonderry BT47 6DW, UK – 028 7134 5180

Having previously visited Browns downtown location in Derry's Strand and allocated it 4 stars, I was keen to see if Brown's Waterside restaurant at Bonds Hill could outdo it; I was not disappointed! The food was truly outstanding, I was offered and given an extra course which I had not ordered - which was both delicious and 'on the house' - due to the outstanding hospitality of the staff and I came away well sated. If you're planning a visit to L/Derry, don't just stay in the historic centre! Either work up an appetite by taking a leisurely stroll over the Peace Bridge or dive over the Foyle and, if you're lucky like I was, find a parking place right outside the restaurant! Whichever you choose, this is one restaurant not to be missed!

Great food with none of the pretentious attitude that generally comes from these sort of establishments. Top marks and only wish we had such a venue closer to home.

Fitzroy's

2-4 Bridge St, Londonderry BT48 6JZ, UK – 028 7126 6211

Fitzroy's has delicious food and caters for all ages. My 3 year old gets a decent sized children's portion. The staff are always friendly and attentive and even if you do have to wait a short while sitting at the bar it's great to hear the banter that goes on between the staff.

I've only been here for lunch but it's very good food at an extremely reasonable price. I love fish and they serve delicious cod and salmon. It gets very busy at lunch time so a short wait for a table is not unusual and I think this is an indication of the quality of the food here. I've never had a bad meal here.
